ITV has commissioned a second series of the UK hit quiz format Jeopardy!, which is hosted by Stephen Fry and produced by Whisper North, part of The Whisper Group.
Twenty-five x 60min new episodes of the smash series have been commissioned by ITV, which is an increase on series one. This follows the success of the first series which was produced by Whisper North, shown on ITV1 and ITVX earlier this year.
Series one went out as part of ITV’s daytime schedule in January 2024, launching with 2.5 million viewers and regularly attracting an average audience of over 1.6 million
Series two will be filmed in Salford at the end of September 2024 and is set to TX in 2025. Casting for contestants is due to start later this month.
The weekday entertainment show provides nostalgia for fans of the world-renowned format, while introducing the family quiz show to a UK audience. Guided by host Stephen Fry, contestants play to win, using their best general knowledge to win rounds and always delivering the answer as a question. They may continue to amass winnings, the longer they stay in the game.

Jeopardy! is a Whisper North production for ITV1 and ITVX. The Executive Producers are Kerri Reid, Tom McLennan and Stephen Fry. It’s been commissioned by Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning ITV and Leanne Clarke, Assistant Commissioner ITV.
The original US quiz show is produced by Sony Pictures Television, a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company which is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution along with the format rights.
