COMMUNICATIONS AND CONTENT EXECUTIVE

Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted entertainment and branded content.

Our diverse team of over 270 members work in offices across the UK and beyond, producing top-level coverage for the world’s biggest sporting organisations and competitions, such as Formula One, UEFA, Roland-Garros and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime-time documentaries and entertainment quiz shows for a wide range of broadcasters.

Whisper is looking for a Communications and Content Executive who will work directly with the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer.

The Communications and Content Executive will support both internal and external communication objectives through the creation of compelling and engaging materials. This individual will write well in varied styles, produce and adapt content for different platforms, and build strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Producing social media posts and online content using a variety of media and a high degree of creativity.
  • Creating engaging content for various platforms using formats such as video, audio and imagery.
  • Writing press releases, articles, website copy, newsletters and other communication materials.

Internal Communications:

  • Supporting clear and consistent internal communication across the organisation.
  • Maintaining a strong internal network to gather and share content.
  • Managing internal channels such as newsletters and intranet platforms.

Event and Awards Planning:

  • Planning and coordinating events such as press conferences, webinars and industry conferences.
  • Maintaining a diary of industry awards and managing related submissions.
  • Drafting and coordinating award submissions to a high standard.

Media Relations:

  • Distributing press releases and other media materials.
  • Managing media enquiries and ensuring timely, professional responses.
  • Building and maintaining media contact databases.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Representing Whisper at relevant industry events and conferences.
  • Collaborating across departments to ensure message consistency.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practice.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent and adaptable writing skills
  • Experience in content creation across platforms using a range of tools and media formats.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow social media presence.
  • Understanding of media relations and communication strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills for monitoring and reporting campaign effectiveness.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
  • Confident interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.

Location:

The base for this position is Kew, London.

Working Days:

Five-day working week: four days in the office and one day working from home. Flexibility may be required in line with production schedules. Lieu days will be provided for any days worked beyond the standard week. Flexitime is available, subject to production requirements.
